What kind of businesses does pivotgraina work with?
We work primarily with small and mid-sized businesses in Malaysia, typically those with 5 to 80 employees. Many of our clients are founder-led, moving through an awkward stretch of growth where old ways of working no longer scale.
How long does a typical engagement take?
It depends on what you need. The Growth Health Check wraps up in two weeks. The Scaling Plan & Operating Model typically runs four to six weeks. The Advisory Companion arrangement is three to six months, with regular check-ins throughout.
Do I need to prepare anything before we start?
Nothing formal. We start by listening. If you have existing documents — org charts, process notes, financial summaries — those are useful, but not required. Most of what we need we can gather through conversations with you and your team.
Are the sessions conducted in person or remotely?
We're based in Kuala Lumpur and can meet in person for clients in the Klang Valley. For clients elsewhere in Malaysia, sessions work well over video call. We're flexible about what combination suits you.
What do we get at the end of an engagement?
Each engagement has defined deliverables. The Health Check produces a written summary and action list. The Scaling Plan produces an operating model outline and phased plan. The Advisory Companion includes working notes after every session. All documents are practical and written for your team to use directly.
How are payments structured?
We discuss payment terms at the start. Shorter engagements are typically billed upfront or in two stages. The Advisory Companion is billed monthly. We keep the process straightforward — you'll know the full amount before we begin.
